Waterfall amongst fern forrest

Cyathea Falls is a 2km easy loop walk in Tarra Bulga National Park, Victoria. It takes about 1 hour to finish. This short walk goes through the old forest of Tarra Bulga to Cyathea Falls. Tarra Bulga has one of the best old forests in Victoria and is worth visiting.

Start at the car park and follow the trail. After a short walk, you will reach where the West and East walks meet. You can take either path as they both loop back together. After about 1km, you will reach the falls. After enjoying the falls, return via the East Walk (or West if you came that way). The car park is about 1km back.

To get there from Melbourne, head to Traralgon via the Monash Freeway (M1). From Traralgon, take Traralgon Creek Rd (C483) south for about 40km. The road becomes Grand Ridge Rd. The last 7km is a winding road down to the Tarra Valley car park. Be careful on this part as it is narrow and hard to see around corners.

Tip: Bring your camera.
