Stevensons Falls Easy Walk, Barramunga – Walking Maps
This walk or roll follows a river through big trees and cool rainforest to a lovely waterfall.
Is this walk easy for me? The walk is easy for everyone, even people who use wheelchairs. Some people in manual wheelchairs might need help.
How easy is the path? The area is well kept. Maps and signs guide you along the easy path. There are gentle slopes up to the falls.
There are plastic boardwalks that are not slippery and have safe edges. Only the boardwalks by the river have safety rails.
Other parts of the path are made of packed gravel. The gravel is a bit rough and might be hard for some wheelchairs. It can be slippery when wet. There are no steps or things hanging overhead.
The concrete path to and across the river bridge is a long, wide, and gently sloping ramp.
Some parts of the path have drops to the river or from the boardwalks to the ground.
There is room to turn a wheelchair around. Some parts are too narrow for side-by-side travel. You can do a shorter walk, but you won’t see the waterfall. Phone coverage is poor.
Note: The dirt road to Stevensons Falls is narrow and winding.
Rest areas Picnic tables are not easy to roll under. They are connected by paths to the walk among grassy areas. There are seats without armrests. Easy-to-read signs are along the path. An easy-to-use viewing spot lets you see the falls. The rest of the track is not easy to use.
There are no food or drink services nearby. Bring your own water bottle. Take your trash home with you.
Toilets There is an easy-to-use toilet.
Dogs Keep dogs on a leash.
There is no public transport.
Parking 2 easy-to-use parking spots are next to the path. They have safe side space and easy access to the path. The surface is smooth and flat. You don’t need to cross a road or walk through a parking lot. Public parking is 30 meters away along a gravel path.
