Water Polo is a team water sport. Each team has six players and one goalkeeper. The team that scores the most goals wins. In the National Water Polo League, there are four periods, each lasting 8 minutes.
The clock stops when the referee blows the whistle and starts again when the free throw is taken. Teams have 30 seconds to keep the ball. This time resets after a shot, a player is sent off, a corner, or when the other team gets the ball.
