Five wheelchair athletes pose joyfully in front of a sports statue, showcasing team jerseys from various clubs, celebrating inclusivity.

AFL Wheelchair was made with help from Disability Sports Australia and the Australian Defence Force. It lets everyone play football, with or without a disability. Games have two teams of five players in wheelchairs, plus extra players. The game is on a rectangular indoor court split into three parts, like netball, with goal posts at each end. There are defenders, centres, and forwards, and only forwards can score. A handball is like a kick, and an underarm throw is like a handball.

The AFL runs the Toyota AFL Open, where the best players can represent their State or Territory.
