The Melbourne All Abilities Cricket Association (MAACA) is borne out of a desire to provide the opportunity for people of all backgrounds with an intellectual disability to be involved in the wonderful game of cricket.
Over the past few years a number of clubs have been holding a semi-formal competition for players that may suffer from an intellectual disability. The games have been played with modified rules to enable as many as possible to participate, who otherwise may not have got the opportunity to participate in the regular cricket season.
With the help of Cricket Victoria, a proper association has been established to oversee the development of this aspect of the game.
