Adults
During school terms, we have a six-week blind tennis program. It is held on Friday nights at the National Tennis Centre on indoor courts. This program is run by Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria, Tennis Victoria, and Tennis Seniors Victoria.
People with different levels of vision join the program. They do different tennis exercises with the help of volunteers. We use various types of balls, including audible tennis balls and different sized and coloured balls.
Before this program, people with total blindness could not play tennis. Now, people of all ages and backgrounds can join.
You can play for fun or improve your skills to play at a higher level. Everyone is welcome!
