Disability Sport and Recreation (DSR) helps Victorians with disabilities stay healthy by joining sports and fun activities. DSR makes sure everyone with a disability can take part in the sports they like. DSR works with many people, including those with disabilities, carers, volunteers, sports groups, schools, health workers, and the government. With help from Protect, ETU, and the Victorian Government, DSR lets people play wheelchair rugby. You can join a beginner program or compete in a league. Wheelchair rugby, also called murderball, is a tough and exciting sport on wheels. It’s great for both new players and experienced ones. The game is fast and fun as players try to score goals. Every month, there are try-out sessions at the Echuca Basketball Stadium. Everyone is welcome, with or without a disability.
