Waverley Netball Centre is happy to offer a program for people with intellectual or physical disabilities. We help them be active and learn new skills in netball. Our netball players with disabilities enjoy special classes that help them learn and have fun.
Weekly Program:
During the season, we have training sessions for our players with disabilities. These sessions help them improve their netball skills in a fun way. Held every Sunday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, our great players are guided by our coach Naomi Linossier and other helpful coaches. The sessions are on Court 1 at the Waverley Netball Centre.
Competition:
Every week during the Saturday competition, a team of players with disabilities plays a match against a team in the 13/U Section 3. This match is at 10:50 am. The team does not play for points; it is about having fun. This has been a good experience for the teams they play against.
The Association also enters teams in the Netball Victoria Association Championships in the section for players with disabilities.
No netball during school holidays or on public holiday weekends.
