
The Monash City Council owns and operates three industry leading aquatic and recreation facilities.
The Clayton Aquatics & Health Club, the Monash Aquatic & Recreation Centre in Glen Waverley and the Oakleigh Recreation Centre offer the Council’s 176,000 residents and those of nearby municipalities state of the art recreation facilities and an array of pools to improve community health and activity.
The community embrace these facilities which have been deliberately designed to compliment each other and maximise their appeal to all sections of the Monash and wider community.
Each facility has something to appeal to all ages and abilities. From learning to swim or splash play areas for young children, court sports for all ages, hydrotherapy and fitness programs tailored for older adults or even swimming in Victoria’s largest wave pool, there are health, fitness, wellbeing and recreational opportunities for everyone.
Redeveloped in 2020, the facility incorporates a gym, group fitness, indoor multi-purpose courts, state level gymnastics facility as well as seasonal outdoor pools.
Oakleigh Recreation Centre offers the following services:
- Health Club – Group Fitness classes (including Reformer Pilates and Cycle) and individual gym equipment available
- Stadium – Basketball, Netball and Volleyball.
- Aquatics – open 1 November – 31 March: 50m lap pool, dive pool, multi-purpose pool, and toddler splash pool
