Australian Biathlon is the peak sporting body governing the sport of Biathlon in Australia.

Biathlon is primarily a winter sport combining elements of cross-country skiing and target shooting.  Summer versions of the sport are also practiced, substituting roller-skiing, running, or bike riding for cross-country skiing. Biathlon is a Winter Olympics sport.

Australian Biathlon Association Inc.  is affiliated with the international governing body, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) and the Australian Olympic Committee.

Australian Biathlon operates the Whiskey Flat Biathlon Arena at Mt Hotham, Victoria. .  The Whiskey Flat Biathlon Arena is the only Biathlon range in Australia and is the location of Australian Biathlon’s Selection Races and many of Australian Biathlon’s winter training activities.

Biathlon Australia manages all levels of biathlon and aids in creating a pathway to participate in overseas Biathlon events. We promote Biathlon for all ages and levels of ability, including youth, developing athletes, high performance and masters. In Winter we ski and shoot; during the rest of the year we run and roller-ski.
